Heading Out!

About a year ago I received the opportunity to go overseas and work with a school that, since kindergarten, I have raised money to support. So obviously I jumped at this opportunity and accepted the challenge. But as time went on the plans changed, and has brought me to this point in time.
The plan was originally to go to Kibaale and work with the children at the Kibaale Community Schools, but instead I am going to be living and working in Masaka at the Timothy Centre. The Timothy Centre is an all girls high school that accommodates senior high aged students. I will be living on the campus with both these girls and other families who have come from Canada to help run this new school and the organization. I will be working with the girls in the school, but my main focus at this point will be to work with the children whose parents are working at this school. Plans are constantly changing, but as of now this will be our focus.
This website is an introduction to the centre and a basic background of the project:

Throughout the next months that I am away I will hopefully (as time permits) be updating this blog! Feel free to email me, but my responses will be dependent on how much time I have and the internet access I have.
Excited for this adventure and I am going to miss everyone!
